Supervising Electrician / Leading Hand

About the role

This is a hands-on leadership position suited to an experienced electrician who enjoys being on the tools while also coordinating teams and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You'll work across commercial and industrial projects, overseeing day-to-day site activities and working closely with the wider JSG Electrical team to keep projects running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating electricians and apprentices on site

• Leading by example and maintaining a high standard of workmanship

• Reading and interpreting electrical plans and specifications

• Coordinating day-to-day site works and priorities

• Managing relevant site documentation

• Ensuring work is completed safely and in accordance with required standards

• Monitoring quality and progress

• Communicating effectively with clients, contractors and the JSG Electrical team

• Identifying and resolving site issues as they arise

• Supporting the successful delivery of commercial and industrial projects

About you

• Current NSW Electrical Licence

• Current Australian Driver's Licence

• Strong commercial electrical experience

• Previous supervisory or leading hand experience

• Excellent leadership and communication skills

• Strong problem-solving abilities

• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans

• A strong commitment to safety and quality

• The ability to work independently and take ownership of your site and team
