As an Investment Strategy Specialist (Risk & Governance), you will join an innovative Investments team supporting investment governance and risk activities across the Investment function. You will contribute to the design and ongoing evolution of the Investment Governance Framework, support departmental projects and new initiatives, and help strengthen the processes that underpin long-term member outcomes.

The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of investment strategy, governance and risk management from within the Investments department. You will partner with a range of key stakeholders within Investments and across the broader business, gaining valuable exposure to how investment decisions are governed within a large superannuation fund.

In this role, you will:

• Contribute to the design, development and ongoing enhancement of the Investment Governance Framework (IGF), policies and supporting governance documentation
• Support the ongoing, adaptive incorporation of regulatory requirements, including SPS 530 and CPS 230, into investment governance practices
• Help maintain alignment between investment risk settings, the Board-approved risk appetite and enterprise risk frameworks
• Partner with the enterprise Risk & Compliance function, auditors and regulators, assisting with information requests, reviews and knowledge sharing
• Contribute to a broad range of Investment team projects, strategic initiatives and governance uplift activities

About you

You are a curious and collaborative professional who enjoys working across a broad investment landscape. You bring a structured approach, strong attention to detail and the confidence to contribute ideas as frameworks, projects and new initiatives are designed and delivered.

You’ll bring:

• Foundational knowledge of investment principles and markets
• Experience or exposure to investment governance, risk management, asset consulting or another regulated financial services environment
• Strong problem-solving capability, with a structured approach and excellent attention to detail
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, practical insights
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and contribute to project delivery
• A collaborative mindset, professional judgement and a genuine appetite to learn, develop and take on new challenges

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Economics, Commerce or a related discipline
