Carpenter & Painter – Residential Maintenance | Full‑Time

LCI is seeking a Carpenter and a Painter to support residential and community housing maintenance across Southern Tasmania. If you take pride in quality workmanship and enjoy working in both occupied and unoccupied homes, we’d like to hear from you.

About the Roles

Carpenter

You’ll carry out day‑to‑day residential maintenance, including:

• Door and hardware repairs

• Cabinetry adjustments, fixes and replacements

• Deck and timber repairs

• Minor accessibility modifications

• General carpentry maintenance in residential homes

What you’ll bring:

• Trade qualification in Carpentry

• Strong problem‑solving skills

• Good communication with tenants and clients

• Reliable work ethic

Painter

You’ll complete internal and external painting and finishing work, including:

• Surface prep, patching, sanding

• Repaints and touch‑ups

• Timber staining and sealing

• Maintaining a clean, safe work area

• Working respectfully in occupied homes

What you’ll bring:

• Experience in residential painting

• Good attention to detail

• Ability to work independently

• Reliable work ethic

Successful applicants will also need or be able to acquire,

• General Construction Induction (White Card)

• Current Registration to work with Vulnerable people Card

• Current Drivers License,

• Police report

• Trade Certificate or relevant experience

• Basic technology skills

• Reading and writing skills for safety documents and job descriptions

• Understanding of the importance of workplace safety and following customer/contract procedures

• Neat, confident and take pride in their work
