About the role
Evoro is a complete total waste management solutions business that has the combined experience and resources of Cleanway, Global Resource Recovery, EnviroChoice, Lee’s Environmental and Direct Waste Management.
We are looking for a HSEQ Coordinator to support our NSW and SA operations. The successful applicant will be pivotal in supporting our operational teams to ensure our work is safe and our people are healthy. The primary locations are Smeaton Grange and Ingleburn, with very limited travel to other NSW (Cooma) and SA operations.
The Ideal Candidate: This role requires a pragmatic individual with the ability to effectively manage time between reactive and proactive demands, an ability to assess problems before advising on and supporting implementation of better practice solutions. The person we are looking for is curious, genuinely cares about people, and has the energy and passion to help make positive changes in the way we work.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Reporting to the General Manager People, Safety, Environment & Quality, you will be responsible for:
Supporting the Managers, Supervisors, and employees in the implementation of the Group’s HSEQ Management System and maintaining the ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 accreditations.
Ensuring risk assessments, work instructions and SWMS are completed and implemented for site operational activities.
Leading and assisting sites in the timely completion of incident investigations and corrective actions.
Assisting with prequalification and company onboarding for our sites.
Maintaining the schedule and report on the sites Audits, Inspections, and compliance assessments.
Monitoring and co-ordinating the appropriate training and improvement programs.
Injury, rehabilitation, and claims management if required.
Working with the General Manager to provide advice and assistance to the operational teams.
Qualifications and Education
You will have a Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety and Class C Driver’s License. A certificate in Training and Assessing would be desirable, along with eligibility for membership/certification with the Australian Institute of Health and Safety.
