With a strong and growing pipeline of projects, we are seeking an experienced Finishes Supervisor/Foreman to join our team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Finishes Supervisor to join our Wollongong project team. In this role, you will oversee and manage the finishes installation and construction processes on-site, ensuring that all works are carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will play a key role in coordinating teams, managing resources, and liaising with subcontractors and other stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of finishes-related activities within our projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and lead the finishes team on-site, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

• Coordinate finishes-related construction activities -including joinery, painting, tiling, cabinetry, flooring, and fixtures - ensuring efficient resource allocation and smooth workflow.

• Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure that finishes installation aligns with the project schedule and design specifications.

• Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols and company policies, maintaining a high standard of site safety.

• Monitor the progress of finishes works, report any issues or delays, and implement corrective actions where necessary.

• Manage the quality control and defect rectification process, ensuring that all finishes materials and workmanship meet Urban Property Group's strict quality standards.

• Mentor and train less experienced members of the finishes team, ensuring skills development and fostering a collaborative working environment.

• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that all finishes works comply with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.

• Ensure that the site is organised, well-stocked with necessary materials, and compliant with health and safety regulations.

ABOUT YOU

• 5+ years of experience in finishes/fit-out construction, with a strong focus on supervising and leading teams.

• Proven experience as a Finishes Supervisor or similar role in the construction or property development industry.

• Extensive knowledge of finishes trades, materials, and installation techniques (joinery, painting, tiling, flooring, cabinetry and fixtures).

• High attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders, subcontractors, and team members.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• In-depth understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations on construction sites.
