Merchandise Administration Assistant/Buying Administration Assistant

We're looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Merchandise Administration Assistant/ Buying Administration Assistant to join our Merchandise team at Best & Less.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about fashion, loves working with data and reporting, and is looking to build a career in Merchandise, Buying, or Planning.

Working closely with Buyers, Suppliers, Stores, and our Distribution Centre, you'll play a critical role in supporting the end-to-end product lifecycle, helping ensure the right products are delivered to the right stores at the right time.

You're highly organised, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment. You have a genuine passion for fashion and product, love analysing information, and enjoy bringing structure and accuracy to everything you do.

You have strong attention to detail, enjoy building relationships with others, and can confidently manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. Most importantly, you're eager to learn and excited to grow your career within Merchandise.

Your Day Will Consist Of

Managing stock replenishment and product allocations across our store networkRaising purchase orders and ensuring product information is accurate and up to dateAssisting with sales, stock, and trade reporting to support business decisionsMonitoring stock availability and communicating any issues, risks, or opportunitiesSupporting Buyers with analysis, administration, and product-related reportingCoordinating product samples for reviews, marketing activities, and photoshootsAssisting with Critical Path management to ensure key milestones are achievedLiaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support product deliveryMaintaining product information in merchandise and PLM systemsSupporting range reviews, product presentations, and seasonal planning activities

You Will Have

Experience & Skills

Previous administration experience, ideally within Retail, Merchandise, Buying, Planning, or Supply ChainIntermediate Microsoft Excel skillsStrong analytical and numerical skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong organisational and time management skillsAbility to manage competing priorities and meet deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skillsA collaborative approach and ability to build strong stakeholder relationshipsA passion for fashion, product, and retail trends

Desirable

Retail Support Office or store-based retail experienceMerchandise Administration Assistant, Buying Administration, Allocation, or Planning experienceExposure to stock management or inventory systemsExperience using PLM or merchandise planning systemsUnderstanding of fashion and apparel retail
