About the role
The Opportunity
We're looking for a Deployment Scheduler to join our National Transport team based in Northmead, NSW on a 12-month contract. Working Monday to Friday, 4:00pm to 12:00am, you'll enjoy a hybrid working model with two days from home and three days in the office, balancing flexibility with close operational engagement.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented and analytical professional to make a real impact on one of Australia's largest distribution networks, ensuring products reach customers safely, efficiently and on time.
Working closely with Transport, Warehouse Operations, Supply Planning and our carrier network, you'll be responsible for planning and optimising delivery schedules, maximising fleet utilisation, and supporting outstanding customer service outcomes.
About The Role
As a Deployment Scheduler, you'll coordinate delivery planning and load allocation activities across the network, balancing customer service, operational efficiency and compliance requirements.
Plan and schedule customer orders accurately to support on-time delivery outcomes.Optimise fleet utilisation, route efficiency and transport capacity.Allocate orders to appropriate vehicles based on load, customer and operational requirements.Monitor transport volumes and forecast demand to support effective planning.Validate load plans to ensure compliance with safety, transport and Chain of Responsibility requirements.Analyse operational data and performance trends to identify improvement opportunities.Collaborate with transport, warehouse and customer supply planning teams to ensure successful execution.Respond proactively to volume fluctuations, vehicle availability challenges and changing customer requirements.Maintain planning data and reporting to support operational decision-making and continuous improvement.
About You
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.Excellent planning, organisation and time management capabilities.The ability to work autonomously while effectively managing competing priorities.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to adapt quickly and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on delivering operational excellence.Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.Experience in logistics, transport, supply chain, scheduling or other analytical roles is highly regarded.Experience with SAP (TMS or ECC) and tertiary qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
