About the position
We are seeking an experienced and safety-driven MPU Operator to join our team at Yarrabee, QLD. Reporting to the Site Supervisor, this role is responsible for operating Mobile Processing Units to manufacture and deliver bulk explosives safely and efficiently within an open-cut mining environment.
Core accountabilities include:
- Safe and efficient operation of our Mobile Processing Units (MPUs)
- Carry out pre-starts on the MPU
- Regularly carry out workplace Take 5’s
- Conduct bulk product quality tests as required
- Attend toolbox discussions
- Contribute to a respectful and inclusive work environment
About you
• Experience in operating MPUs/MMUs in an open cut environment essential
• Demonstrated experience working in the drill & blast industry
• Unwavering commitment to safety and efficiency
• Ability to work well within a team and unsupervised
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
What you need
• Current HR licence
• National Police Clearance (Less than 3 months old or willing to obtain)
• QLD Security Clearance for handling explosives (or willing to obtain)
• Current QLD Coal Board Medical (or willing to obtain)
• Standard 11 (or willing to obtain)
• Relevant RII competencies (RIIBLA201A & RIIBLA203A)
