Alphacrucis University College (AC) is seeking Expressions of Interest from an experienced and strategic communications professional to join the College as Strategic Communications & Engagement Manager and play a key role in strengthening AC’s public profile, reputation and engagement with key stakeholders and communities.
Working within the President’s Office and closely with the National Director and Chief of Staff, the role will develop and deliver strategic communications, public relations, stakeholder engagement, events, digital content and public-facing initiatives that support AC’s strategic priorities.
A key focus of the position will be the strategic development and operation of ACx, AC’s short-course and micro-credential platform. The role will oversee ACx’s communications, digital presence, customer experience, stakeholder engagement and external partnerships, helping position ACx as an accessible pathway for churches, schools, ministry organisations and other external audiences.
Develop, implement and evaluate strategic communications, public relations and engagement strategies that promote AC’s activities, offerings, public profile and community contribution.
Advise senior leaders on communication and stakeholder considerations relating to organisational initiatives.
Develop and oversee public-facing communications, publicity campaigns, digital content and other communications initiatives.
Ensure communications align with AC’s brand, messaging, tone of voice and strategic priorities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with churches, ACC, ministry organisations, professional networks, community partners and other key stakeholders.
Represent AC at external functions, conferences, stakeholder meetings and other public-facing activities.
Identify opportunities to strengthen AC’s community presence, relationships, reputation and public profile.
Lead the planning and delivery of College events, conferences, graduations, academic events and other public-facing initiatives.
Develop event concepts, communication strategies and audience experiences that support organisational priorities.
Coordinate internal teams, contractors, suppliers and external contributors to deliver successful events and engagement activities.
Lead the strategic development, operation and continuous improvement of ACx.
Oversee the ACx digital ecosystem, including the LMS, website, web design, user experience, branding, digital workflows, social media and course presentation.
Develop communications and engagement strategies to grow ACx’s reach and engagement.
Manage ACx communications, customer support, stakeholder requirements and external partnerships.
Monitor engagement and platform information to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Develop and oversee written, visual and audiovisual content promoting AC, its initiatives and educational offerings.
Provide professional capability in videography, filming, video editing, colour grading and audiovisual post-production.
Establish and maintain high-quality content and production standards consistent with AC’s brand and messaging.
Work closely with the National Director, Chief of Staff and senior stakeholders to identify communication, engagement and partnership opportunities.
Provide specialist advice and subject matter expertise in communications, public relations, stakeholder engagement, events, ACx and digital media.
Exercise professional autonomy in developing recommendations and translating organisational priorities into practical initiatives.
Coordinate internal teams, contractors, suppliers and external stakeholders to achieve communication and engagement outcomes.
You will be a confident communications and engagement professional who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You will be comfortable working with senior leaders, managing multiple priorities and representing the College externally.
A Bachelor degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Media, Theology or a related discipline is desirable.
Experience in communications, public relations, stakeholder engagement, event coordination and/or digital content development.
Experience working with senior leaders, external partners and community organisations.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
Experience developing and delivering communications and public-facing initiatives.
Professional capability in digital content, videography and audiovisual production.
Ability to coordinate events, campaigns, contractors, suppliers and external stakeholders.
Strong understanding of strategic communications, public relations and audience engagement.
Understanding of the Australian Christian Church landscape, particularly Pentecostal churches and the Pentecostal movement.
An understanding of higher education and the mission of Christian education is desirable.
