About the role
Juniors at Wamberal has a permanent, part-time, position for an enthusiastic and team orientated Cook.
The position requires someone who is genuinely passionate and motivated about making a positive difference in the lives of our children, families and colleagues.
We are a small, family owned service. We are passionate about providing high quality education and care to all children attending our service.
We operate 51 weeks of the year close over the Christmas/New Year period and Public Holidays. Our business hours are 7:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.
At Juniors, we require a team player, someone who is reliable, dedicated to current best practices, a great communicator, ability to follow direction, passionate about nutritious food, health and safety and able to manage a kitchen.

About the role -
You will need to be available Friday from 8.30am to 2pm (and extra days to cover leave in the kitchen)
Follow recipes and menu provided
Prepare and cook morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and supper as per the menu
Manage stock rotation and follow ordering systems in place
Understand and manage intolerances, allergies, anaphylaxis and medical condition needs
Maintain daily cleaning and meet Food Inspection standards (our current Scores on Doors rating is 5 stars/Excellent)
While the position does not require professional cooking training, it does require the successful applicant to hold a current Food Safety Supervisor certificate
The successful applicants will have -
Current Food Safety Supervisor certificate (number and renewal date)
A current Working With Children number
National Child Safety training certificate (Geccko)
Experience cooking in an Early Childhood service is desirable
Confident written and verbal communication skills
Ability to follow menus, recipes and provide allergen friendly meals
