About the Role

AQWA is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Kitchenhand / Food & Beverage Attendant to join our busy Café & Functions team.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment and providing friendly, professional service to our visitors.

You will assist with food preparation, kitchen duties, cleaning and functions, while helping us deliver a great experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve quality hot and cold meals, snacks and beverages

• Assist with café and function service

• Complete kitchen, café and equipment cleaning

• Operate commercial dishwashers and undertake washing-up duties

• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness

• Follow AQWA's WHS policies, procedures and food safety requirements

• Work effectively as part of a busy team

• Undertake other duties within the scope of the position as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in a café, restaurant, catering or hospitality environment

• A positive and professional attitude

• Good food handling and hygiene knowledge

• Experience with food preparation

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent personal presentation and hygiene standards

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• A willingness to undertake cleaning and general kitchen duties

• Current Food Safety / Food Handler training

• WA Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one

Availability Requirements

This position requires flexible availability, including:

• Alternate weekends – Saturday and Sunday

• School holiday periods

• Some public holidays, as required by the roster

Our busiest periods are during school holidays, weekends and public holidays, so applicants must be comfortable working during these periods.

Applicants who are unable to work alternate weekends and school holiday periods will not be suitable for this position.
