Casual Store Assistant | OTTWAY The Label Manly

About the role

As a Casual Store Assistant, you will help create a genuine and memorable experience for everyone who visits the OTTWAY Manly store. The store is an intimate 55 sqm space that generally operates with one team member at a time. We are therefore looking for someone confident, reliable and comfortable working independently while maintaining excellent customer service and store presentation. You will work closely with the Store Manager and wider OTTWAY team, primarily covering Sunday and Monday shifts, with the possibility of additional shifts during busy periods, team leave and special events.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a warm, genuine and memorable customer experience

• Share the OTTWAY story and product knowledge

• Process sales, exchanges and returns through the POS system

• Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and presentation

• Assist with stock replenishment, transfers and inventory accuracy

• Open and close the store when rostered

• Help build a strong local community around the Manly store

About you

• Have a genuine interest in slow fashion, travel, creativity and community

• Have previous retail or customer-service experience, ideally in fashion or lifestyle retail

• Love styling, storytelling and connecting with customers

• Bring positive energy and a calm, hands-on attitude

• Are confident and responsible when working independently

• Have strong attention to detail and care about store presentation

• Are comfortable using POS systems and handling daily retail tasks

• Enjoy contributing to sales targets and helping a store grow

• Are available to work Sundays and Mondays, with flexibility for occasional additional shifts

We are opening our new Manly store and are looking for a warm and enthusiastic Casual Store Assistant to join us from the beginning.
