Potting Nursery Worker

Join our production team and assist with potting, planting and moving nursery stock into growing areas. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys physical outdoor work, works well in a team and takes pride in meeting daily production targets.

Packing and Dispatch Worker

Join our packing team and help prepare quality plants for customer orders. Responsibilities include selecting, cleaning, labelling and loading plants while ensuring orders are completed accurately and presented to a high standard.

Plant Maintenance Worker

Help maintain healthy, high-quality plants throughout our nursery. This varied outdoor role includes watering, pruning, spacing, weeding, fertilising and monitoring plants for pests, diseases and general quality.

Key responsibilities

Potting:

• Potting plants using machinery and manual methods

• Planting accurately and consistently

• Loading and unloading plants from the potting line

• Moving plants into growing areas

• Following daily production targets

• Keeping the potting area clean and organised

• Following workplace health and safety procedures

Packing and Dispatch:

• Selecting plants to match customer orders

• Cleaning, presentation pruning and preparing plants for sale

• Labelling, barcoding and pricing plants accurately

• Checking plant quality before dispatch

• Loading plants safely onto racks and trolleys

• Assisting with loading and unloading delivery vehicles

• Completing orders accurately and within daily targets

• Keeping packing and dispatch areas clean and organised

Plant Maintenance:

• Watering and monitoring nursery stock

• Pruning, trimming, spacing and staking plants

• Weeding pots and growing areas

• Applying fertilisers and other plant treatments as directed

• Monitoring plants for pests, diseases and quality issues

• Removing damaged or unsaleable plants

• Moving and consolidating nursery stock

• Keeping growing areas clean, safe and organised

• Assisting with stocktakes and plant counts

About you

• Current Australian driver's licence and reliable transport

• Physically fit and able to perform repetitive manual work

• Able to lift pots, trays, bags, plants and equipment safely

• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions

• Able to work effectively as part of a team

• Australian working rights

• Good attention to detail

• Willingness to learn plant care and nursery procedures

• Able to follow chemical safety and workplace procedures

Desirable

• Previous nursery, horticulture, farming or production experience

• Forklift licence

• Experience using potting machinery

• Plant identification knowledge

• Experience using scanners, barcodes or order-picking systems

• Knowledge of plant identification and general plant care

• Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control licence or chemical-handling certificate

• Tractor or machinery experience

• Certificate II or III in Horticulture
