Join OPSAR as an Allied Health Assistant and support patients to achieve their rehabilitation and recovery goals. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will assist in delivering therapeutic programs and activities that promote independence, wellbeing and quality of life. This varied role offers opportunities to broaden your skills through rotations across OPSAR services, Allied Health Assistant roles and locations throughout Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service.About us:
Older Persons, Subacute and Rehabilitation Services (OPSAR) delivers a comprehensive range of inpatient and community-based services focused on interprofessional care, integrated service delivery, and the preservation and restoration of health and wellbeing. The service supports individuals with complex and chronic health conditions through assessment, rehabilitation, care planning, system navigation and transitional care. OPSAR encompasses Aged Care Assessment and Memory Services, the Transition Care Program, Commonwealth Home Support Program, Neurology, the Older Persons Evaluation, Rehabilitation and Assessment (OPERA) Service, Subacute Care Unit, Rehabilitation, Palliative Care, Stroke Services, and the Older Persons Integrated Health Service (OPIHS), including OPEN ARCH, GEDI, OPeLS and RaSS programs.
