About the role
Highfields State School is seeking an inspiring, strategic and values-driven Deputy Principal to join our school leadership team and work closely with the Principal to improve student outcomes and strengthen teaching and learning.
A key role of this position is the leadership of the Year 4-6 cohort and all actions related to this including enrolment, attendance, behaviour and assemblies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, communication and strategic thinking skills, with a proven ability to build productive relationships and contribute to a positive, ethical and high-performing school culture.
This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.

Your Opportunity
A key role of this position is the leadership of the Year 4-6 cohort and all actions related to this including enrolment, attendance, behaviour and assemblies. Further roles include line management of DRT's, Leadership of PBL and Real Schools. Organise Timetabling, Surveys, Reporting, Daily Teacher Replacement, and Yr 6 Transitions, as well as other roles as delegated by the principal.
Support the Principal in delivering a shared vision focused on quality student outcomes.Deputise for the Principal when required.Provide ethical, values-based leadership and promote an inclusive school culture.Set high expectations for student and staff performance.Build strong partnerships with families, agencies and the wider community.Lead strategically and support continuous improvement and professional development.Ensure compliance with relevant education legislation and policies.Manage school resources effectively to achieve key goals.
