The role will be hybrid working; our office is at the centre of Sydney in Pyrmont. You will occasional have national and international travel opportunities.
What you will do?
The Senior Delivery Manager is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of programs and projects to meet our customer needs and is responsible for customer relationships across their span of control.
The role assists in planning, monitoring, and controlling multiple projects using proven methods and techniques. The role participates in overall project execution and may oversee the work of Project Managers working on various client engagements. The key responsibilities of this role include stakeholder management, managing scope, project delivery, risks, and budgets across multiple/large scale/complex projects.
The role will report to the Country Manager, ANZ (CM-ANZ) and will be responsible for driving the delivery of digital transformation projects. You will work closely with the Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) organization and the Architecture Review Board (ARB), manage supporting technology vendors, and lead the successful technology delivery for Niteco.
Key Accountabilities Leading a team of geographically dispersed resources to deliver technology projects on time and within budgetMaintaining end-to-end accountability for customer communication, satisfaction and overall delivery excellence within specific service offeringsAbility to build digital road maps for our clients, helping them to create a solid path to achieve their digital transformation vision.Work with their teams to determine necessary activities to successfully deliver projects throughout the given service line or functionEnsure that the right type and number of resources that are required to fulfil the planned projects are available and in place through cooperation with Resource PlannersDelivering customer satisfaction and overall excellence by identifying opportunities (or issues) and assisting with speedy resolutionUnderstanding the pipeline of customer demand and work with the Resource Planners to ensure an appropriate supply of resourcesResponsible for financial management, reporting and optimizing processesSupport Senior management in leading improvement activities and ensuring streamlining of existing processes on a regular basis and implement project management best practicesJuggling multiple and conflicting priorities in a timely and sensitive way, with full transparency to the CM-ANZ and leadership teamsManaging and leading complex stakeholders towards optimal solutions while helping them understand resource constraints and prioritizationServe as an escalation point for customer concerns if/when they ariseHolding the teams to the highest standards, project discipline and accountability Understand and ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements as agreed with the client
Knowledge and SkillsProven track record of delivering a collection of projects for a diverse customer base5-10+ years of project delivery and stakeholder management roles in a digital transformation environmentAlready have a permanent permit to live and work in Australia is a mustDemonstrable experience working in an Agile environment with a good understanding of Agile practices and guidelines (Scrum / Kanban)Hands-on experience in using Agile tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps or similarHands-on experience with project scheduling tools such as MS ProjectExperience in managing overseas delivery teamsMonitor and maintain project budgetGood business acumen and ability to negotiate with business partners and customersStrong customer orientation and able to manage customer expectationsGood executive presenceGood financial and people leadership skillsInitiates, builds and maintains productive customer relationshipsFlexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid changeComfortable working in a matrixed organization with excellent communication and networking skills – able to effectively manage and influence senior leaders as well as a broad range of stakeholderAbility to manage risk, and encourage strategic risk management-based delivery in others to meet expectationsStrong collaboration skills to build teams across business boundariesLeadership skills to successfully lead large, diverse and virtual teams. Agile working experience necessary. Building trust with senior stakeholders in times of pressure and decision making.
