About the role
AAFCANS purpose is to serve the Australian Defence Community across 27 bases nationally. Our venues are designed to provide convenient café style coffee, meals and convenience products on Army and Air Force bases.

AAFCANS operate at ADFA (Australian Defence Force Academy) within the Uni Campus in our cafe, this role supports operations within the kitchen, stock management and customer service support.

About the role:
Permanent Full-Time Level 1 Barista role - Monday to Friday, no weekends or public holidays
Based at ADFA (Australian Defence Force Academy) within the Uni Campus
38 hours per week.
Shift times between 6:00 am-3:30 pm
Must be available for early morning starts.
Fast Paced Customer Service - coffee preparation and service.
Medium to large food preparation and cooking of cafe food items for the venue
Must have a vehicle and driver licence to access the base
We'd love to hear from people with:
Previous barista experience (Desired)
Comfortable to work alone and part of a team
Strong customer service skills
Hold a current Australian driver's licence (Essential)
High level of communication skills
Knowledge of food handling & hygiene standards
Confidence in a fast-paced environment
Reliable vehicle and driver licence required to access the base
As you will be working on a Defence base in a secure area you will need to be able to complete a National Police Check.
