Heavy Diesel Mechanic

We currently have a position for a Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team in our South Guildford depot.

The Role:

• Servicing and maintenance of the fleet, including scheduled maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance

• Effectively diagnose and find faults in the mechanical assessment of all aspects of the HV truck fleet and trailers

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in all maintenance activities

• Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used

• Work collaboratively with the team to manage vehicle downtime and ensure prompt return to service

• Provide hands-on training and guidance to apprentices, fostering their technical skills and knowledge in diesel mechanics

What you need:

• Fully qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic with relevant trade certificate

• Experience with preventive maintenance and the ability to identify potential issues before they become critical

• Previous experience in providing maintenance and repairs to heavy commercial fleet

• The ability to work well under pressure

• Strong commitment to health and safety

• Self-motivated and able to work autonomously

• Knowledgeable in Kenworth and American-based trucks
