About the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapist to join the Allied Health team on a casual basis. The successful applicants will join our physiotherapy team covering a caseload of inpatients and outpatients including neurological, orthopaedic, amputee and geriatric rehabilitation, acute medical/ orthopaedic surgical patients and aquatic therapy.

We are an independent 83 bed facility with a 5-theatre Operating Suite providing medical (geriatric and palliation), rehabilitation (inpatient and day only) and surgical services. Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting initial assessment, re-assessments and discharge summaries
• Designing best practice exercise prescription
• Conducting education sessions
• Monitoring of patients throughout sessions
• Support members of the Allied Health team to provide high standards of clinical care to patients/families
• Work with the Allied Health Team to help patients achieve their goals
• Adhere to Healthscope and site policies and procedures
• Contribute to efficient and effective running of the department
• Demonstrate a commitment to continuous quality improvement and occupational health and safety
• Deliver a high standard of customer service at all times

Essential Criteria:

• Registration with AHPRA
• Demonstrated good communication skills and well-developed interpersonal skills
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team
• Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused

Desirable Criteria:

• Relevant clinical experience in hospital rehabilitation
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills
