The Role

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Account Manager to join the QLD Fire team, based in Mansfield.

The Account Manager will play a critical role growing the Fire division, responsible for ensuring the technical integrity, compliance and commercial success of all quoted & delivered works.

Acting as the bridge between Field Operations & Account Management, the Technical Account Manager will provide expert guidance across quoting, project delivery & client engagement.

This is a hands-on, client-facing position where the Technical Account Manager will work closely with internal teams and customers to scope solutions, manage complex projects and ensure outcomes align with Australian Standards and client expectations.

Key Competencies

The successful candidate will ideally possess the following experience, knowledge & skills:

• Technically strong professional who can bridge the gap between operations, commercial outcomes & client needs

• Strong working knowledge of Australian Standards (AS1851, AS2118, AS2419, AS1670, AS2444) and fire compliance requirements

• Advanced technical understanding of Dry and Wet Fire Systems, and Essential Safety Measures (ESM) systems

• Proven experience in preparing, reviewing, and managing technical quotes, tenders, and complex projects

• Ability to balance technical accuracy with commercial outcomes, including margin management and profitability

• Confident client engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships, manage expectations, and communicate technical concepts clearly

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Strong problem-solving capability with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset

• High level of attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Experience working with service management and quoting systems (e.g. Uptick, Excel, Word)

• Ability to identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies across projects and quoting

• Collaborative approach, with the ability to influence and support internal teams and stakeholders

• Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
