About the role
We are seeking an experienced, reliable and self-motivated Professional Handyman & Golf Cart Technician to join our Golf Course Technician & Engineering (GCTE) team on a casual basis. GCTE has clients on the Gold Coast, Northern Rivers, Brisbane and Sunshine Coast, however, the current position is for our Sunshine Coast region.
This is a diverse hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their workmanship, and has strong maintenance and mechanical skills. No two days are the same—you'll be responsible for maintenance and repairs of both building facilities and golf carts.
Your responsibilities will include:
General workshop duties.
Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work environment.
Building and facility maintenance.
Painting and patching.
Door, lock and hardware repairs.
Installation of fixtures and fittings.
General property maintenance and repairs.
Assisting with projects and renovations around the club.
Diagnosing, servicing and repairing electric golf carts - training provided.
Tyre repairs and replacements.
Golf cart detailing
To be successful in this role you will have:
Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance technician or similar trade.
Mechanical servicing and repairing experience - golf cart specific training will be provided.
Ability to understand and comply with relevant WH&S standards
Ability to maintain accurate servicing and repair records
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Experience using a wide range of hand and power tools.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong time management and organisational skills.
A positive, can-do attitude.
Current Australian Driver's Licence and own transport.
Willingness to undertake a Police Check.
Flexible casual hours.

Variety of work across mechanical repairs and facility maintenance.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and wants a role where every day is different. You'll play an important part in maintaining the presentation, safety and operation of building facilities and golf cart fleets.
Although the position is casual, there is potential to increase hours for the right candidate. Please advise of your availability in your application. Uniforms will be supplied and an attractive hourly rate will be offered, commensurate with experience.
