ER Specialist – Projects & Proactive Compliance | Brisbane | $150k + super

Most ER specialist roles are reactive case management with a side of compliance. This one's the opposite, proactive compliance, projects and risk foresight, with ER case data as an input, not the deliverable.

We're partnering with an iconic Australian business on a newly-shaped role for someone who genuinely loves the strategic side of ER. You won't be running cases. You'll be designing the response before the issue lands.

What you'll be doing

• Owning the proactive compliance plan for the Group, monitoring the external landscape (psychosocial risk, positive duty, the live legislative conversations) and recommending what the business does next
• Leading strategic ER projects that bring structure, delivery rigour and consistency to complex compliance work
• Building the tools, policies and leader-guidance materials that make ER risk easier to manage at scale
• Using ER themes and case data to spot what's coming and shape the evolution of practice

What you bring

• A strong ER foundation, but you've moved beyond hands-on case management
• Genuine project-thinking, you bring structure and follow-through to complex work
• A compliance mindset that spots risk early and works upstream
• The kind of energy that wants to make the function better, not just keep up with it
• NZ experience is a "gold nugget" the team is starting to build there

• Brisbane-based, hybrid (2-3 days in the office)
• $150k + super
• Permanent, with real scope to shape how the function evolves
