About the role
Position Profile: Join our team in a rewarding role supporting both patient care and hospital services. Working under the guidance of nursing staff, you will assist patients with daily living activities while helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming healthcare environment.
Responsibilities include supporting patient wellbeing, assisting with meal preparation and delivery, cleaning and housekeeping duties, laundry services, stock control, and contributing to infection prevention and quality care standards.
This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, reliable, customer-focused, and committed to delivering high-quality support within a healthcare setting.
Area Profile: The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is the largest country health system in Australia and one of the biggest in the world, providing health services to approximately half a million people, including 45,000 Aboriginal people, over a vast two and a half million square kilometre area. The organisation comprises seven regions, with a strong network of public hospitals, health services and health centres located across rural and remote Western Australia. Our core business is the provision of quality, accessible health services to country WA residents and visitors.
Directorate Overview: Our Health Districts Gascoyne, Geraldton, Midwest and Murchison support and deliver a diverse range of services including but not limited to Aboriginal Health, Community Health, Population Health, Medical, Nursing and Midwifery, Aged Care, Mental Health and Community Alcohol and Drug Services, Workforce, Infrastructure and Business Services. These services are delivered in a range of practice settings including within the community, in nursing posts, multi purpose sites, hospital based facilities and via Telehealth.
