Support Worker - Part Time

We are seeking skilled, compassionate, and reliable Domestic Assistants to provide exceptional in-home care to older people in Coburg and either one of the following local council areas: Darebin, Merri-Bek, Yarra, Melbourne, Moonee Valley, or Maribyrnong.

Part Time Role – 20-30 hours – required availability Mon to Fri.

Part Time Role 15-25 hours – required availability 3-4 business days including Mon & Fri.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Support Worker, you’ll help clients live independently, feel respected, and stay connected to their community by assisting with:

• Personal Care – Supporting clients with showering, grooming, and daily hygiene routines
• Home Cleaning – Household cleaning and laundry tasks are a core part of the role, helping clients maintain a safe and comfortable living environment
• Meal Preparation – Cooking simple, nutritious meals
• Shopping – Assisting with errands or accompanying clients to the shops
• Transport - Pick up/drop off services, driving clients where they need to go.
• Respite - Relieving informal carers from their duties for a specific time in or out of home.
• Social Support – Engaging clients in companionship, social outings, home-based activities, appointment activities.
• Wellbeing Monitoring – Observing and reporting changes in physical or emotional health
• This role involves travelling between clients homes.

What You’ll Need

• A genuine passion for supporting others and making a positive impact
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or IV in Aging Support, Diploma of Nursing or Bachelor of Nursing with accompanying academic transcript (students nearing completion welcome to apply)
• Current Victorian Driver’s License and reliable, insured vehicle
• Current Police Check or NDIS Worker Screening Check
• COVID-19 vaccination evidence
