Out of School Hours Care Staff

Located in a beautiful leafy northern suburb of Sydney, Forestville Montessori School (FMS) is a vibrant community focused on offering an authentic Montessori education to children from Birth to age 12. We are currently seeking applications for an outstanding Educator to join our After-School Care team.

Our Out of School Hours (OOSH) service provides primary and preschool children with a relaxed and engaging time where children can choose experiences from a range of different activities. A successful applicant will be responsible for developing various experiences to engage children within the service and supervise the educators in the after school program – our children range from 3 years to 10 years.

Daily experiences include: Montessori Practical Life, nature-based play, craft, sport games, dramatic play, cooking and music.

Educators work in our after-school care programs during school terms, 5 days a week from 2.30pm to 5.30pm. There is also potential to work in our Vacation Care program.

You will need:

• certificate III in Children's Services (minimum)

• a current Working with Children check

• current First Aid certificate

• to be reliable and proactive

• a commitment to providing quality care and support to children and families

• a genuine desire to see children thrive

• a welcoming and service oriented approach for families

• to have great verbal and written English skills

• availability to work 2.30-5:30 pm during term time and full day during Vacation Care

There may also be the opportunity to perform casual work as a classroom assistant within the school during school hours for the right candidate.
