We are looking for a reliable, motivated and detail-focused Warehouse Orders Picker / Packer to join our warehouse team.
This is a hands-on role where accuracy, efficiency and reliability are essential. You will play an important part in ensuring customer orders are picked correctly, packed securely and dispatched on time.
Working as part of our Warehouse & Distribution team, your key responsibilities will include:
Pick orders accurately and efficiently – select the correct products and quantities, checking item codes, descriptions and order details before packing.
Follow warehouse procedures – complete picking, scanning, packing and dispatch activities in accordance with company processes and instructions.
Maintain inventory accuracy – correctly record stock movements and immediately report damaged, missing, misplaced or incorrect stock.
Check order quality – ensure every order is complete, products are undamaged, securely packed and correctly labelled.
Prepare orders for dispatch – ensure completed orders are correctly grouped, labelled and ready for collection or delivery.
Maintain a safe and organised workplace – keep picking and packing areas clean and organised, return stock to the correct locations and follow all safety and manual-handling requirements.
Work as part of the warehouse team – assist with general warehouse duties, stock movements and other operational tasks as required.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
Previous experience in warehouse operations, order picking, packing or dispatch.
Demonstrated ability to pick and pack customer orders accurately, paying close attention to product codes, descriptions and quantities.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to getting orders right the first time.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple warehouse tasks efficiently.
Computer literacy and the ability to confidently use basic computer systems, email and warehouse/inventory software.
Ability to follow established warehouse procedures, instructions and safety requirements.
Ability to work efficiently and consistently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
A current forklift licence and demonstrated ability to operate a forklift safely and responsibly.
Good physical capability to stand, walk, lift and handle warehouse stock throughout the working day.
A reliable and punctual work ethic with a strong commitment to attendance.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A positive attitude and willingness to assist with general warehouse duties when required.
Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment.
The following would be highly regarded:
Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS), inventory system or handheld scanner.
Previous experience in technology, electrical, security, telecommunications or distribution environments.
Experience with stock control, inventory management or dispatch operations.
