Job Description

Own the stability, security, and continuous operation of the technology that keeps hundreds of GYG restaurants running, every day.

GYG's restaurant and corporate technology runs at serious scale, and this role is what keeps it standing up. The Infrastructure Services Lead drives the monitoring, observability, and automation strategy across the fleet in partnership with Digital and other operational teams, applying AI-driven tooling and data-led insight to catch issues before they hit the floor.

Deep expertise in Microsoft Windows OS engineering underpins the deployment, hardening, and lifecycle management of endpoints across hundreds of restaurant sites and corporate offices. Network delivery is handled by GYG's networking Managed Service Partner, freeing this role to focus on the platforms, endpoints, and monitoring layer GYG owns directly. Alongside the hands-on delivery, you'll lead and develop an Infrastructure Analyst and act as the senior escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.

What You'll Do

• Provide day-to-day leadership and technical direction to the Infrastructure Analyst, and act as the senior escalation point for complex infrastructure issues
• Implement and manage monitoring and observability tooling across the restaurant and corporate fleet, applying AI-driven alerting and analytics to get ahead of issues before they impact operations
• Own the engineering, deployment, and lifecycle management of Windows endpoints and servers across hundreds of restaurant and corporate sites
• Manage GYG's trusted partner relationships — including Networks and Security, Internet Services, and Field Support — holding them accountable to agreed service levels
• Lead root cause analysis on complex and recurring infrastructure issues, identifying systemic patterns and driving durable fixes
• Coordinate system upgrades, patching, and change management, and implement security measures across platforms and endpoints
• Lead the development of automation scripts and AI-assisted tooling (PowerShell, Python) to reduce manual effort and improve response times
• Own the Microsoft 365, Teams, and Zoom environments end-to-end, in partnership with the Digital and Service Desk teams
• Lead infrastructure projects — platform upgrades, migrations, monitoring rollouts — including planning, status reporting, and post-implementation review
• Participate in and oversee a rostered on-call support mechanism, providing 24x7 IT support for the restaurant network across Australia and other markets GYG operates in

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Significant experience (e.g. 7+ years) in IT infrastructure engineering, with demonstrated experience operating at scale across a multi-site restaurant, retail, or similar distributed environment
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Windows OS engineering — deployment, configuration, hardening, and lifecycle management across large device fleets
• Experience implementing monitoring, observability, and alerting tooling at scale, and applying AI-driven tools to infrastructure monitoring, automation, or operations
• Scripting and coding proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript, with RESTful API integration and development experience
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop technical talent, with the ambition and readiness to grow into a broader people-leadership scope
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to deliver complex infrastructure initiatives and manage relationships with trusted external partners
