About the role

We are seeking a friendly and energetic experienced Retail Counter Hand to join our team at the Strange Grains Gluten Free Bakery in Shenton Park, WA. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for assisting customers with their purchases, maintaining the display counter, and ensuring a positive in-store experience.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting customers and providing excellent customer service

• Helping customers select and purchase baked goods from the display counter

• Ensuring the display counter is well-stocked, organised and visually appealing

• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the bakery retail area

• Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as needed

• Providing feedback and suggestions to improve the customer experience

What we're looking for

• Must be able to work full time hours Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday

• Previous experience in a customer-facing retail or hospitality role

• Barista knowledge an advantage

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work efficiently and multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards

• Passion for food and/or gluten free products, and a desire to provide an exceptional customer experience

• Comfortable working as part of a team and taking direction

• No visa restrictions
