About the Role:
As a key member of our clinical team, you will play an important role in ensuring a smooth, high-quality patient experience. This role is ideal for a Dental Assistant who is confident, organised, and passionate about progressing in their career within a collaborative and forward-thinking practice. This role is based primarily at South Yarra, with occasional coverage required at our sister clinic, Hawthorn Orthodontics.
Primary location: South Yarra - your main clinic (just minutes from the train station)

About You:
We are looking for someone who brings both experience and enthusiasm to the role. The ideal candidate will have:
Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting (highly regarded)
You're great at building rapport with both children and adults
You have experience looking after patients on the phone and in person
Attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A reliable, punctual, and proactive approach to work
Key Responsibilities
Educating patients on orthodontic treatments, procedures, and aftercare instructions.
Provide chairside assistance to our orthodontist and oral health therapists (including note-taking and providing instructions to patients).
Coordinating with orthodontic assistants and other staff members to ensure smooth patient flow.
Maintain established infection control standards in the clinical setting and throughout the entire dental clinic.
Maintain dental equipment, consumables and supplies in the dental surgery.
Undertake equipment decontamination and sterilisation to the highest standards
Update treatment card notes
The Finer Details:
Currently we are looking to hire on a part time basis- 2 days per week (Monday and Thursday).
8.00am until 5.15pm with a paid 10 minute morning tea break, and a 1 hour lunch break
Salary: Negotiable based on skills and experience
