About the role

We are now seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join the Export team based at our Adelaide head office.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Export Officer with proven experience in documentation to join our growing export team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the documentation process for export shipments, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
About the Role
The Export Officer is responsible for making bookings with shipping lines, coordinating with production plants on logistics arrangements, preparing accurate export documentation, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and customer requirements. This is a key operational role that supports efficient export processes and smooth logistics execution.
Key responsibilities
Manage export vessel bookings with shipping lines.
Coordinate shipment schedules to meet customer requirements.
Monitor vessel changes, schedule rolls, cut-off dates and shipping risks.
Liaise with shipping lines on schedule changes and resolve operational issues.
Coordinate container movement, releases and shipment planning with transport providers and packing sites.
Maintain accurate shipment records and booking information within company systems.
Prepare complete and accurate export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, COO, and shipping instructions.
Identify opportunities to improve shipping processes, efficiencies and service outcomes.
Support the broader Export Team during peak operational periods.
About you
Minimum 3 years' experience in export shipping/documentation, freight forwarding, logistics or container shipping.
Working knowledge of Letters of Credit and the ability to prepare compliant documentation.
Strong understanding of shipping line operations, vessel scheduling and container logistics.
Excellent planning, organisation and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with export documentation systems (BSM) and ERP systems will be highly regarded.
