About the role
Performing Art Teacher (Primary Years)
0.5 FTE Permanent Position
Commencement Date 18th January 2027
We are seeking a qualified Performing Arts Teacher who can demonstrate the following:
Actively support and contribute to the Catholic Identity of the school and demonstrate a commitment to the vision of St Thomas School and Preschool.
Demonstrate skills and knowledge of current teaching approaches, frameworks and assessment strategies that cater to the diverse learning needs of students, fostering creativity, collaboration, and artistic expression.
Organise and direct school performances, concerts, and other events to showcase students’ talents in the performing arts.
Support and lead extracurricular programs such as choirs and band, providing diverse opportunities for students.
The successful applicant will be required to have a current acceptable Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance & screening to work in Catholic Education South Australia, hold current certification in Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect in Education and Care Settings and have completed appropriate First Aid Qualification as directed by the school.
