Recycling Attendant – Waste & Resource Recovery

Synergie Australia is currently seeking a reliable and customer-focused Recycling Attendant to join a well-established waste and resource recovery facility in Ingleside, located in Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

This opportunity is ideal for someone seeking consistent part-time hours, strong hourly pay, and a role that supports genuine work–life balance. It is particularly well suited to students, career changers, or individuals balancing other commitments who are available 3–4 days per week, including one weekend day.

The Opportunity

This position offers:

• $31+ per hour with additional casual loading, onsite allowances and weekend penalties paid on top of your base rate

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a computerised weighbridge with cashless payment processing

• Process sales through the buy-back centre

• Inspect, identify and manage incoming waste streams

• Recover recyclable materials from mixed waste

• Direct and manage onsite traffic safely

• Provide operational support within the transfer station

• Safely operate machinery including forklift and water truck (where licensed)

• Deliver a high standard of customer service to all site users

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Hold a current NSW Driver’s Licence

• Be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision

• Be physically capable of manual handling duties

• Have basic computer skills and experience using POS systems

• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and customer service

Desirable (but not essential):

• Traffic Control accreditation

• HR Truck Licence

• Forklift Licence

• Previous waste management or resource recovery experience
