Assistant Reservations Manager

Novotel Sydney West HQ is currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Manager to join the Reservations team.

About the role:

Reporting to the Reservations and Revenue Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Reservations Department, ensuring efficient reservation processes, exceptional guest service, and the optimization of room inventory to maximise hotel revenue.

Key responsibilities:

• Supervise and support Reservations Agents, providing coaching guidance and operational support.

• Ensure all reservations are processed accurately and within established service standards.

• Monitor reservation queues, emails, telephone enquiries and third-party booking channels.

• Manage amendments, cancellations and special requests in accordance with policies.

• Ensure all reservation records and complete, accurate, and compliant with Accor standards.

• Handle escalated reservation enquiries and guest complaints professionally and promptly.

• Assist the Reservations & Revenue Manager in managing room inventory to maximise occupancy and revenue.

• Monitor daily booking pace and advise on reservation trends.

Our perfect fit:

• An experienced Reservations Agent (Accor preferred) with excellent organisational, interpersonal, relationship management, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work well under pressure with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong working knowledge of Opera PMS.
• Strong sales focus and the ability to upsell the hotel features.
• Ambitious and enthusiastic.
