We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Director of Nursing to lead one of our residential aged care homes and drive excellence across clinical care, operations, people leadership and quality outcomes.

About the Role:

As Director of Nursing, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership and day-to-day management of the home, ensuring residents receive safe, high-quality, person-centred care while maintaining compliance, workforce effectiveness and operational performance.

Working closely with the Executive Team, you will:

• Lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional resident outcomes.

• Foster a positive, engaged and accountable workplace culture.

• Ensure compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards, legislation and regulatory requirements.

• Drive quality improvement initiatives, accreditation readiness and risk management processes.

• Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, retention and staff development.

• Monitor operational and financial performance, ensuring resources are effectively managed.

• Build strong relationships with residents, families, medical practitioners and key stakeholders.

• Champion continuous improvement and innovation across the service.

About You:

You are an experienced nursing leader who combines strong clinical expertise with exceptional leadership and operational management skills.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Essential:

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.

• Demonstrated leadership experience within residential aged care.

• Strong understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and aged care regulatory framework.

• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams.

• Experience managing compliance, quality systems and continuous improvement programs.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.

• Sound financial, operational and workforce management capability.

Desirable:

• Qualifications in Management, Leadership, Health Administration or a related discipline.

• Postgraduate studies in nursing, aged care or management.

• Experience leading accreditation or significant quality improvement initiatives.
