Chef / Experienced Cook

About the role

You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of meals while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, cleanliness and food safety. The Charcoal Inn Hotel Casino is a popular hotel serving locals, travellers and visitors, and we're looking for someone who takes pride in producing quality meals and enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a range of meals

• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, cleanliness and food safety

• Work independently and as part of a team

• Handle a busy kitchen during peak service periods

• Contribute ideas and help maintain a welcoming kitchen environment

About you

• Has relevant chef qualifications or solid commercial kitchen experience

• Confident working independently and as part of a team

• Can handle a busy kitchen during peak service periods

• Takes pride in preparing fresh, quality meals

• Has good knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene

• Reliable, punctual and well organised

• Has a positive attitude and works well with others
