Position Overview

This role will be a Sydney site-based engineer for a Data Centre project, providing technical support and day-to-day assistance to the Engineering, Construction and Commissioning Departments.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in the supervision and management of day-to-day HVAC site activities - installation, commissioning and delivery of Climatech projects
• Assist in the monitoring of quality, site progress and programme requirements, compliance with specifications and safety standards, maintaining documentation
• Review drawings and schedules, provide engineering and technical support
• Assist in identifying and resolving site and coordination issues
• Coordination and communication with the Client, Builder, Trades, Sub-Contractors, Suppliers, Design Stakeholders and our internal Project team
• Collaborate with the BIM and drafting team – internal and/or subcontractors, for the on-time delivery of high-quality concept drawings and its development into fully coordinated and buildable Workshop Drawings
• Employ appropriate engineering techniques for the design of HVAC and Mechanical Services systems
• Prepare, develop, review, coordinate and manage engineering design deliverables including system and schematic sketches, calculations, equipment selections, technical submissions, reports and specifications
• Adhere to the Company’s HSE&Q Policy and Procedures

Minimum Qualifications 

• Minimum 2+ years’ Mechanical Services experience in Data Centre, Commercial, Healthcare or Infrastructure industries, with strong preference working on Australian projects
• Tertiary Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering and/or equivalent discipline
• Experience in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam programmes
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• A valid driver’s license
