As an Educator in our OSHC program, you will play a vital role in shaping young minds while being supported in your own professional journey. You will help create a vibrant, inclusive and safe environment where children thrive at before and after school.

At CRCS we also provide opportunities for you to work across our play group portfolio offering those extra needed hours to your working week.

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

• Be available to work in both before and after school hours across our OSHC programs at Florey Primary and Charnwood Dunlop Schools
• Desirable, not essential - Certificate III qualification or higher in Early Education and Care/or Primary teaching
• Current Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR and First Aid Certificates
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to positively interact with educators, children, families and the school community
• A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• Sound knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF), the Early Years Learning Framework and /or My Time, Our Place

Responsibilities

In this rewarding role you will undertake the following responsibilities:

• Uphold professional and ethical standards, demonstrating accountability, initiative, and effective time management
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment through respectful communication, feedback, and support of diversity and inclusion
• Work in alignment with organisational goals, policies, and National Quality Standards to support high-quality service delivery
• Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of children through effective supervision, hygiene practices, and risk management procedures
• Create and maintain safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environments with appropriate use of resources and sustainable practices both indoors and outdoors
• Build strong relationships with children, families, colleagues and the school community while engaging in continuous professional development and service improvement

As part of our commitment to child safeguarding, all employees are required to comply with our child safe policies and mandatory reporting requirements. Applicants will be required to demonstrate their commitment to child safety and undergo rigorous screening processes, including Working with Children Check (WWCC) and/or Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) checks.

CRCS also requires all employees to:

• Hold or be willing to obtain a satisfactory Working with Vulnerable People registration (ACT) and/or a Working with Children Check (NSW) and have these with them at all times whilst employed by CRCS.
• Undertake a National Criminal History Clearance by CRCS prior to commencing and every three years thereafter as a condition of employment. Employees are required to advise CRCS of any convictions that may affect their eligibility to work or perform the inherent requirements of their position
