About the role:

This position requires the successful candidate to perform electrical overhaul and repairs on a large & varied fleet of locomotives. 

This includes:

• Maintaining, repairing, testing & commissioning of locomotives. 

• Providing general maintenance support for locomotives.

• Carrying out fault analysis within the locomotive systems.

• Identify and source material and parts requirements.

• Completing all relevant and required documentation and checks.

• Other tasks as required.

About you:

• Ability to read, comprehend and apply technical drawings.

• High level of communication and interpersonal skills.

• High level of problem-solving skills and the ability to work as part of a dynamic team.

• Ability and willingness to further your knowledge and skills with additional training.

• High level record keeping ability.

• Ability to work shifts and overtime as required

Skills and experience:

• Trade qualifications (Electrical or suitable related disciplines).

• Electrical licence.

• Locomotive experience advantageous but not essential. We are willing to train the right candidate.

• Previous experience working within a heavy maintenance/ asset management environment preferred but not essential.

• Crane/Doggers ticket advantageous.

• Forklift licence preferred but not essential.
