The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established public practice firm where you’ll be given the chance to develop beyond pure compliance work.

Depending on your experience, you’ll take ownership of client work, build strong client relationships and develop your technical and advisory capabilities while working closely with senior members of the firm.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Preparing financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals

• Preparing BAS, IAS and other compliance requirements

• Managing a portfolio of business services and taxation clients

• Assisting with tax planning, structuring and business advisory matters

• Liaising directly with clients and the ATO

• Identifying taxation and accounting issues and providing practical solutions

• Building strong, long-term client relationships

• Supporting and reviewing junior accountants where appropriate

• Working closely with Managers and Partners on more complex client matters

What We’re Looking For

Most importantly, you’ll have Australian public practice accounting experience and be looking for an opportunity to continue developing your career.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Previous Australian public practice experience – essential

• Experience at Intermediate or Senior Accountant level

• A degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline

• CA/CPA qualification or progress towards completion

• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting requirements

• Confidence communicating directly with clients

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel

• A proactive attitude and genuine ambition to progress
