Team members benefit from working within a respected brand that values clinical excellence, customer care, and ongoing professional development.Role Description As an Optical Assistant at Specsavers in Perth, WA, you will support customers with frame selection, lens options, and product advice to ensure their eyecare needs are met. You will help manage customer appointments, greet and check in visitors, and guide them through the pre-testing process in collaboration with the optometry team. Daily tasks include handling customer queries in-store and over the phone, processing orders and payments, maintaining accurate customer records, and ensuring the store is clean, well-presented, and stocked. You will work closely with colleagues to deliver a friendly, efficient service and uphold Specsavers’ standards of care. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Perth, WA store.Qualifications Strong Interpersonal Skills and Customer Service abilities to build rapport and support a diverse range of customers.Proven focus on Customer Satisfaction, with the ability to handle enquiries, feedback, and issues professionally.Clear and confident Communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone.Interest in Optometry and eyecare, with willingness to learn about frames, lenses, and clinical processes.Previous retail or healthcare customer-facing experience is beneficial.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail.Basic computer skills and comfort using point-of-sale and booking systems.Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and peak trading periods as required.
