We are looking for a motivated person to join our team as a Cadet Building Certifier. Based in our Cannonvale Office, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who is interested in pursuing a career in building certification.

Previous building surveying study is not essential, as this position provides structured training, mentoring, and practical experience while the Cadet undertakes formal study towards accreditation through the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors (AIBS) and licensing with the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC).

We also welcome applications from candidates who have already commenced their studies towards their qualification, or who are already qualified and licensed as a Level 3 Building Certifier in Queensland.

About the Role:

The Cadet Building Certifier is an entry-level, developmental role within Rapid Building Approvals, designed to support individuals pursuing a career in building certification.

Working under the supervision of qualified Building Certifiers, the Cadet will assist in the assessment and approval of building applications, conduct site inspections, and support regulatory compliance activities. The role involves both office-based work and fieldwork, with occasional travel required to support operations across various office locations throughout Queensland.

This is a full-time career-development position combining formal study, structured mentoring and practical, hands-on experience.

The successful applicant will work closely with experienced Building Certifiers while progressively developing their knowledge and competency across building assessments, inspections, legislation, compliance and client communication.

Who we're Looking For:

We welcome applications from people at different stages of their career, including:

• Candidates with experience in residential construction, building design, drafting, engineering, surveying, planning, compliance or a related industry.

• People with practical construction knowledge who are looking to move into a professional building certification career.

• Applicants who have not yet commenced building surveying studies, but are willing to undertake the relevant course of study provided and supported by Rapid Building Approvals.

• Candidates who have already commenced an appropriate building surveying qualification.

• Applicants who are already qualified and/or licensed as a Level 3 Building Certifier in QLD.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
