Level 2 Field Technician

About the Role

We’re seeking a Level 2 Field Technician who thrives on variety, enjoys working directly with clients.

This role is a balance of onsite and remote support, where you’ll resolve technical issues, implement solutions, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of client environments.

You’ll work across modern IT environments including Microsoft 365, Azure, security platforms, and hybrid infrastructure, while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

What You’ll Do

• Provide onsite and remote technical support across a diverse client base

• Troubleshoot Windows, macOS, and business applications

• Administer and support Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)

• Support Microsoft Azure / Entra ID (Azure AD) environments and hybrid identity

• Implement and manage Microsoft security solutions including:

  • Microsoft Defender for Business / Endpoint

  • Conditional Access & MFA

  • Email security & threat protection

• Assist with cloud migrations and modern workplace deployments

• Configure and deploy desktops, laptops, and network infrastructure onsite

• Support firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi, and VPN connectivity

• Maintain accurate documentation and ticket records

• Work collaboratively with senior engineers and escalate when required

Skills & Experience

Core Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience in an MSP or IT support environment

• Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration and support

• Solid understanding of Azure fundamentals and identity management

• Experience with cloud-first and hybrid environments

• Good working knowledge of networking

• Hands-on troubleshooting across desktops, servers, and user environments

Security-Focused Experience (Highly Valued)

• Endpoint protection and EDR solutions

• Email security and anti-phishing protection

• Identity security (MFA, Conditional Access, Zero Trust concepts)

• Backup and disaster recovery solutions

• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices for SMB environments

Technical Exposure

• Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory (on-prem & hybrid)

• Windows 10 / 11 environments

• Firewalls, routers, and managed switches

• Virtualisation platforms (advantageous)
