Welder & Fabricators - Marine

About the role

BLW Marine Management Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Welder & Fabricators to join our team in our Murarrie, Queensland location. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in the manufacture and repair of marine vessels and equipment.

What you'll be doing

• Perform a range of welding and fabrication tasks to the highest quality standards

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to fabricate custom components

• Operate various welding equipment and machinery to assemble and repair marine structures

• Carry out routine maintenance and inspections on tools and equipment

• Collaborate with the wider team to ensure efficient and timely project delivery

• Maintain a safe and tidy work environment, adhering to all health and safety policies

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Welder or Fabricator, ideally within the marine industry

• Strong knowledge of welding techniques and fabrication processes, including MIG, TIG and stick welding

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

• Sound mechanical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Forklift licence and crane operation experience highly regarded
