Why this role existsWe're expanding into Brisbane, and our Practice Lead needs an experienced senior accountant who can carry real technical weight without being managed line by line. This isn't a leadership role: it's a senior technical one. You'll own your own portfolio, mentor the people coming up behind you, and work closely alongside the Practice Lead, not instead of them.

What you'll ownA portfolio of SME and private group clients end to end: income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals, done properly, not rushedSenior-level review support on month end and year end work, working alongside the Practice Lead to keep quality and turnaround tightDirect ATO dealings on your clients' behalf: assessments, payment arrangements, penalty and interest remission, rulings, audits and objectionsTechnical guidance and mentoring for the accountants coming up behind youDirect, regular contact with the Practice Lead and partners on the technical and client work that actually matters
