VC Maintenance's focus is on maintaining our fleet of Earthmoving, Quarrying, Road Haulage, and Light Vehicles along with providing high-quality repairs and services for external clients.

The Positions

Due to sustained business growth, we are excited to offer multiple trade positions for qualified tradespeople to join our team based at our Mackay Northern Beaches Workshop.

• Diesel Fitters

For an immediate start we require tradespeople with a "Can Do" attitude and a passion for all things mechanical.

The roles on offer are for workshop positions to support our diverse fleet of Earthmoving, Quarrying, Road Haulage and Light Vehicles.

Working Monday to Friday day shift only - with optional Saturday work as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnosing hydraulic systems and pneumatic control systems faults

• Strong knowledge of fluid power & hydraulic control systems & pneumatic systems

• Sound knowledge of maintenance, and repairs on Large Earthmoving & Quarrying equipment and Road Haulage Trucks.

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal reliability.

• Be able to troubleshoot and identify technical issues.

• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications & Key Attributes:

• Trade qualified diesel fitter.

• Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

• Knowledge of maintaining earthmoving equipment.

• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Hold a current Australian Driver's license and be able to drive both manual and automatic vehicles

• Refrigerant handling license (desired but not essential)

• A valid HC Driver's license (desired but not essential)

As part of the recruitment process for this role you may be required to complete a pre-employment medical, inclusive of laboratory drug and alcohol screen and complete criminal history and qualification checks.
