Position Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing light and heavy vehicles, including specialised transport vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in motor vehicles.
• Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on trucks, cars, and transport vehicles.
• Identify, repair, and replace worn or faulty parts.
• Conduct advanced diagnostics using specialised tools and equipment.
• Test drive vehicles to ensure roadworthiness.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
• Adhere to workplace health and safety standards at all times.

Qualifications & Experience Required

• AQF Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Automotive Mechanical Technology, or equivalent (or higher).
• At least 1 year of relevant full-time experience as a Motor Mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques.
• Experience with both light and heavy vehicles is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
