Construction Administrator – Estimating Support

We are looking for a motivated individual who is interested in building a long-term career within the construction and engineering industries.

Blade Pile is Australia’s largest end-to-end provider of screw piling services. We manufacture, supply, contract and install steel screw pile foundations for the residential and commercial construction industries.

Our head office and manufacturing facility is located in Yatala, Queensland, with distribution centres throughout Australia and New Zealand. This role will be based within our growing Victorian division.

In this role, you will be actively involved in the day-to-day operations of our Victorian division and work alongside our project, estimating and engineering teams in the following areas:

• Schedule product installations with customers and installation teams

• Coordinate project call-ups and assist with organising project timelines

• Process purchase orders, supplier invoices and project documentation

• Answer office and work mobile phone calls, make outgoing calls and respond to emails

• Assist with preparing estimates, quotations and engineering certification documents

• Review construction plans, engineering drawings and soil reports as your technical knowledge develops

• Provide administrative and technical support to project managers, engineers and on-site team members

• Prepare forms, complete data entry and undertake general office administration for the Victorian division

• Assist with resolving project and site-related issues in consultation with experienced team members

• Work within the Microsoft software ecosystem and Simpro project management software

• Ability to manage competing priorities and coordinate with builders, subcontractors, suppliers, production and installation teams

• Strong communication skills and confidence speaking with customers over the phone and by email

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite

• Strong attention to detail when processing project and financial information

• Must have the legal right to work in Australia through citizenship, permanent residency or an appropriate working visa

• Strong proficiency in the English language due to the level of phone and email contact with customers

• Construction site knowledge

• Scheduling experience

• Experience reading and understanding construction/engineering plans

• Management experience

• Administration experience

• Experience with SimPro

• A degree recognised by Engineers Australia (Civil or Mechanical).
