Fixed-Term (2 Years), Full Time Opportunity

$118,270 - $137,635 plus superannuation (depending on skills and experience)

Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for an experienced Principal Civil Engineer to join our hardworking, collaborative Design & Delivery Team.

The Role

Working within the Design and Delivery Team, you will be responsible for the leadership, management, collaboration and delivery of capital works programs across: roads, stormwater, footpaths, traffic, carparks, bridges and lighting.

You will be responsible for providing collaborative leadership to scope and incorporate sustainable and water sensitive initiatives into Council’s business as usual design and delivery of the capital works program, as well as providing mentorship to other engineers within the Design & Delivery Team.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with demonstrated experience delivering complex civil infrastructure projects.
• Experience in the principles and practice of innovative design and construction across multiple areas.
• Experience in development application and land division processes and reviews for engineering referrals.
• Experience in mentoring engineers.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A collaborative approach.
• White Card.
• Cert IV in Project Management (desirable)
• Workzone Traffic Management (desirable)
