Barista all rounder

About the role

We are seeking a Barista All Rounder to join our team at Jamaica Blue Cranbourne Park. This is a casual position based in Cranbourne VIC 3977. As a Barista All Rounder, you will be the friendly face behind our counter, delivering exceptional customer service whilst crafting quality beverages and preparing food items. This role is fundamental to creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring every customer leaves with a great experience. You'll work flexible hours that suit your lifestyle whilst being part of a dynamic hospitality team.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and serving high-quality espresso-based beverages and other hot and cold drinks

• Taking customer orders accurately and efficiently, both in-store and potentially via digital channels

• Running food or beverage to tables when possible, helping dishes and general cafe cleaning

• Preparing food items, including toasted items, cakes and pastries, ensuring food safety standards are met

• Processing transactions using the point-of-sale system accurately and securely

• Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic work environment throughout your shift

• Delivering friendly, professional and engaging customer service to all patrons

• Working collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods

• Restocking supplies and ingredients as needed throughout the day

• Following health, safety and food handling procedures at all times

What we're looking for

• Previous barista experience or coffee-making knowledge, with the ability to craft consistent, quality beverages

• Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional experiences

• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment, remaining calm during busy periods

• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanour

• Basic food handling knowledge and understanding of hygiene standards

• Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work casual hours including weekends

• Team player mentality with the ability to work collaboratively

• Attention to detail when preparing beverages and food items

• Desirable: Certificate III in Hospitality, Food Handling Certificate or equivalent training

• Desirable: Previous experience in a café, restaurant or hospitality venue
