Position Profile: We are seeking suitably experienced, motivated & innovative team members, with excellent interpersonal & organisational skills to join the WA Country Health Service (WACHS) Pharmacy Services team.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Pharmacist (P1) provides core pharmacy services across regional WA, supporting safe and effective medicines use. This includes dispensing, patient counselling, medicines information and participation in clinical care under supervision. The role contributes to medication safety, quality improvement and continuity of care while working collaboratively with medical, nursing and allied health teams. It is suited to early career pharmacists developing clinical capability across a broad regional practice environment.
The Regional Clinical Pharmacist (P2) delivers clinical pharmacy services to hospital patients across the region, supporting safe, rational and cost‑effective therapy. The role includes medication reconciliation, clinical review, drug information provision and independent therapeutic decision-making to optimise patient outcomes. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the position also contributes to service planning, quality improvement and regional outreach services. This role suits pharmacists with established hospital experience seeking greater clinical responsibility and autonomy.
The Senior Pharmacist Virtual Services (P2) delivers safe, effective and high-quality patient centred care across regional and remote WA through the provision of virtual clinical pharmacy services. The role includes inpatient virtual clinical pharmacy and pharmacist-led outpatient clinics in pre-admissions, day infusions, renal and cardiology. Working collaboratively with regional pharmacy teams and the WACHS Command Centre, this position contributes to innovative models of care, quality improvement and equitable access to pharmacy services across the state.
The Senior Regional Clinical Pharmacist (P3) provides clinical leadership in the planning, coordination and delivery of pharmacy services across regional sites. The role includes advanced clinical practice, oversight of medicines management, and leadership in quality improvement, research and service development. It supervises and supports pharmacy staff while ensuring compliance with legislative and professional standards. Working closely with regional leadership, this position drives service innovation and ensures high quality, patient-centred care across geographically dispersed services.
The Supervisor Pharmacist Virtual Services (P3) provides operational leadership in the planning, coordination and delivery of virtual clinical pharmacy services across WACHS. The role includes supervision and mentoring of virtual pharmacists, service development, quality improvement and oversight of innovative models of care. Working closely with regional pharmacy services and the WACHS Command Centre, the position drives high-quality, patient centred virtual pharmacy services that improve access to medicines expertise across rural and remote Western Australia.
This recruitment pool also supports short term and casual engagements for pharmacists seeking to work in regional WA for defined periods.
